The Barolo region wines of Matteo Molino and Carlo Ravello, in Italy
Friday, August 5th, 2005Barolo wines are from the Piedmont area of Italy. Wine enthusiasts refer to Barolo as the “Wine of Kings” and the “King of Wines”. The grape used in Barolo is Nebbiolo. Mauro Molino and Fratelli Revello are considered two of the top wineries in Barolo. The best of the recent vintages are 1995, 1996, 1997 (outstanding/100 points) and 1999.
